- After the acquisition of Netop by Impero, Netop Remote Control has been rebranded as Impero Connect. The Guest and Host user interface has been updated to reflect the new name changes and logo.
- We have improved communication between the Connect modules and the Impero Connect Portal relays by using a TLS tunnel. Transport Layer Security (TLS) encrypts data sent over the Internet to help ensure that eavesdroppers and hackers are unable to see what you transmit.
- Support added for the Guest and Host for Debian 10. Note that only X11 sessions are supported

- macOS and Linux modules no longer store credential to login to the Portal locally, relying instead on a browser based window to enter credentials as needed.
- macOS and Linux modules now provide full support for the latest version of the Portal connection manager service. This means features like Confirm access via Email and Scheduling of Role assignments is now available for macOS and Linux based Hosts.
- The Guest module now available as a 64-bit application for macOS and all supported Linux distributions.
- Fixed an issue where some keys worked incorrectly, causing undesired behavior from mouse and keyboard
- Fixed and issue where installation would roll back after exceeding character limit of an Organization Name (40 characters).

Log files saved locally are restricted to the Netop Host folder.

Administrators can still use custom paths to save Host log files by editing the netop.ini file.

Netop 12.81 is a maintenance release for Windows and Mac with several bug fixes including:
· Display settings in the Guest’s Connection Properties Display tab were not saved.
· The recordings tab is now visible from the Guest Console when using a Portal license.
· Improvements were made to the user experience when the whitelisting feature is enforced from a Impero Security Server
· Fixes a bug where the Screen Recording permission could not be granted after the first installation of the Impero Connect macOS Host.

We’re happy to announce the release of Netop Remote Control version 12.79 for Windows and Linux based devices is now available. With this release, Linux Hosts support the Netop Portal connection manager service updated in June 2019. For Windows Hosts, a bug preventing automatic re-connection to the Portal connection manager after a network interruption, has been fixed.

A maintenance release of Netop Connect is available starting June 28, 2018. Version 12.72 introduces the ability to white-list applications during a remote-control session. Remote control administrators can now restrict a remote-control session to one or multiple applications installed on a Host machine. With white-listed applications in place, a Guest user will only be able to view and control the listed applications, providing new levels of granularity in user access management.

The latest version of Impero Connect includes integration with Intel vPro technology. With this integration, Impero Connect users can access vPro devices regardless of operating system state, start remote control sessions to the BIOS of the device, and integrate with additional authentication options. This version of Impero Connect lets users run scheduled scripts with elevated user privileges, expanding options for automated processes. We've also expanded the URI options and updated platform support to include Mac OS X 10.12 (Sierra). This release also contains numerous bug fixes and additional multi-factor authentication options for Mac and Linux environments. Version 12.51 of Impero Connect was released on November 18, 2016.

Netop 12.22 provides support for OS X El Capitan and Ubuntu 14.04. To support the latest operating systems for Mac and Linux users changes were made to the location of Impero configuration files and application binaries. For Linux systems, new customizable keyboard shortcuts are now available. Character limits for passwords used with Windows authentication have been expanded from 16-characters to 64-characters and the authentication form has been simplified.
