Host on a Terminal Server

This article describes how to install and configure an Netop Host on a terminal server (TS) machine, so that a Netop Guest running outside the terminal server can connect to any individual session running on that server.

Since Netop modules running on the terminal server (in this case, the Hosts) are required to communicate with Netop modules running outside the terminal server (that is, on networked PCs or “fat clients”, in this case, the Guests), the Netop Gateway should be installed and running on the terminal server console.

Netop Gateway can receive Netop communication that uses one communication device and send it using another communication device. This feature enables Netop Gateway to provide communication between Netop modules that use mutually incompatible communication devices, typically to connect Netop modules inside a network or terminal server environment with Netop modules outside a network or terminal server environment.
