Using Blank Screen on Windows 10

Modified on Sun, 14 Sep at 2:27 PM

This article is intended to inform the user about how the Blank Screen feature can be used.

For Windows 10 the Blank Screen feature requires version 18362 or newer and Host version 12.92 or newer. For older versions of Windows 10, depending on the distribution and the display adapter, in order to use the Blank Screen feature it can be necessary for you to disable the current display driver and select the Microsoft Basic Display Driver or leave it empty (and Microsoft is set as default).

Due to changes made to the Operating System, for previous versions that do not support using the Microsoft display driver, the Blank Screen feature might not work. For the best results we recommend that you update to Windows version 18362 or newer.
